Everything being written & said between you & your family and me during the preparation,
the photo session itself & the follow-up exchanges is private and will remain not be publicly released, neither by me or by you.
Our relationship is based on trust & I want you to know you can trust me.
Before the session
In addition to all the info shared here, I’ll be happy to set up a call to speak things through 📞.
When & where?
From 3 months up to 1-year- old, your baby will change so fast, learning something new every week, developing new abilities.
From the 1st smiles to the 1st steps, there is always a great occasion to capture your baby!
We’ll be at home or/and outdoor, depending on the weather.
At home or in a park, your baby will be smiling, interacting with you, playing, & laughing together.
Occasions for a Baby Session
We don’t need any reason to have a Baby session but some milestones are unmissable!
#1 - The very 1st birthday party!
Waow, 1 year already? Time flies & this milestone is for sure worth being changed into everlasting memories!
As soon as you picked the date, the time & the place, let me know!
I’ll be there & during the whole birthday party, I’ll capture candid moments of your baby, as well as special ones as them trying to blow the candle & open their gifts.
#2 - A super fun Smash the Cake session
This special photo session comes from the USA & is very trendy!
It’s so fun, so colorful & an amazing occasion to capture candid moments of your baby!

#3 - Baptism
For this special moment, families & friends might come from afar. It’s a unique occasion to photograph so many emotions & happiness.
I did photograph baptisms in different churches in Istanbul so I’m familiar with the process.
Outfits Coordination
To wear coordinated outfits makes a huge visual difference: it creates harmony & a "togetherness” feeling.
As this is very important, I create a special document to help you (here too).
Thanks to the colors wheel & inspirational examples, you will be easily able to pick up the best outfits for your family.
Pro tip for Moms: pick YOUR outfit first! The one you love & that gets you tons of compliments!

Weather
Photo sessions can be booked all year long as Istanbul is magic during all 4 seasons.
A cloudy weather, despite what we may think, is the ideal weather, as the clouds filter the light & create a stronger atmosphere.
On the other hand, rain is not welcome for sure.
If the weather is cold, adding layers or even a thermal shirt underneath is the perfect way to go.
I keep an eye on the weather forecast & I will let you know our options.
Time
Some sessions are time-sensitive (boat to catch ⛴ ) & the sessions last 2 hours.
So please please please arrive on time at the meeting place 🙏🏼.
I know it is not always easy to get ready, especially with kids.
Give yourself & your family enough time to avoid unnecessary stress & plan ahead the way to reach our meeting point.
I also advise not to have an important appointment right after the session.
I’d like you to have your mind free of the time passing, in order to focus on the great family time!
Early Morning Start
In spring & beginning of fall, the sessions begin around 8 - 8:30 am.
In fall & winter, they can begin around 9:00 am.
In summer, they will begin early morning (7:00 am).
The main reasons why I choose such an early starting time are:
- The early morning light is beautiful.
Later, the light becomes too harsh & creates strong shadows under eyes, noses & chins.
- The temperatures are much nicer in early morning.
Later in the day, they rise up & it can get really hot.
- Places in Istanbul are quite empty early in the morning, except early workers, simit sellers & fishermen.
Later, the city awakes and gets crowded.
Bring a backpack
I want you to be handsfree to hug your kids, to hold your spouse’s hand, to be free to move as you wish.
I also want you to have everything you need easily reachable (like drinks, special snacks, wipes, tissues, wallet etc).
The best solution is to put everything in a backpack & I will carry it around.
(Not a bag that needs to be carried on the shoulder, a real backpack).
Also think about:
- Istanbul karts with enough credit on
- Some cash to grab some simits or juices
- Sunglasses & accessories like hats & scarves
Payment & Rush fee
The payment is due on the day of the session - in cash.
I do accept money transfers to my French bank account (euros) or to my Garanti Turkish bank account (euros or dollars) as far as the fees are paid on your side.
Western Union is also an (cheap) option. You might need to give a call to WU to confirm your transfer.
If you choose to transfer money another way, fees might be paid on both sides. If so, the missing amount will remain due.
If you need your images within less than 1 week, the extra fee is 70 €.
I might not always be able to provide this extra service.
Force majeure & Sickness
If a family member is sick on the day of our photo session, we will of course postpone it. We all need to be in a great shape to have a great time together!
In case of force majeure & strong sickness, I reserve the right to postpone or cancel the photo session.
The cancellation will not engage my responsibility & therefore it will not lead to any financial compensation.
If the payment has already been done, I will reimburse you.
I will always do my very best to offer new potential dates & to organize another photo session or to find another photographer to substitute for me.
Their fees & services may be different than mine, as well as their style.
During the session
A great time to relax!
Because we prepared everything before the session, you’ll have nothing to worry about on the D day.
The main idea of a photo session is to have a lovely family quality time.
So let’s have fun, let’s enjoy the moment, laugh, hug, kiss!
Love & happiness are what you want to see in your family pictures, now & 20 years from now.
You’ll have a wonderful experience, believe me!
Food & Drinks
As you know, there are food & drinks available everywhere in Istanbul. Simit, açma, water, soda, you name it, are very easy to find. So unless you prefer another kind of snack, we won’t stay hungry or thirsty long.
If you think a sweet treat (ok, let’s say it: a bribe!) would help your kids to keep being nice during the photo session, please avoid chocolate (or anything potentially messy) & prefer an easy-to-eat small snack.
❗️Just don’t mention it until we’re getting close to the end of the session or in case of real emergency!
A tea break in a nice place can also be a great moment to be photographed so don’t hesitate to let me know if you & the kids need a break.
“I’m not comfortable in front of the camera”
It is part of my job to make you feel comfortable during the session, as I totally understand it’s not always easy.
My main advise is simple: have fun with your kids! Make them laugh, tickle them, hug them! The magic will happen.
If there is something you are self-conscious about, please let me know during our call.
I’ll do my very best to capture you under the best light.
After the session
Your Online Gallery
You will receive a special email to your private online gallery, within 3 weeks after the session.
Thanks to this gallery, you’ll be able to:

📲 Download the images on your computer, your phone & on your dropbox.

In my offers, 25 portraits are included.
You can choose them from the Colors tab & from the B&W tab.
I will make a custom-made offer for you to receive ALL the portraits.
Your Prints & Frames
Portraits are created to be printed out, not to stay on a hard drive within the possibility of getting lost forever.
A decade ago, we wouldn’t even think not to develop our films: a picture was A THING!
Nowadays, our photos are digital.
It does take time & effort to get them printed out, so we end up doing nothing.
I know as I have hundreds of untouched photos of my now 3-year old son on my hard drive 🤦🏻♀️😧.
The experience of looking at a photo album or a framed picture is incredible. It does evoke memories.
Looking at a screen isn’t just the same.
This is why a framed photo is included in my standard offer & why I propose to handle prints & photo albums.
Just pick your favorite pictures & rest. I’ll take care of the rest.
Afterwards
Copywrite & Print release
The copyright is owned by the person who creates the work. From the second I snap an image, it legally belongs to me, as the photographer, unless I sign it away otherwise, giving me the exclusive rights to determine how the image should be displayed & distributed. I am also the only person who can make alterations to my work. Since my name is associated with the images, I want to have complete control of how they look to ensure they are in line with my photography style that you are hiring me for.
The print release is different in that it gives you the permission to reproduce my images for your own personal use. If you want to make prints, canvases, albums using a source other than me, you are more than welcome to do that, but cannot use them for commercial reasons. For example, if you were approached by an editor of a magazine who wanted to buy your brand new family profile picture for the cover of their next edition, you would have to decline as they are not yours to sell.
To sum up, with the print release included in my offers:
✅ You can:
- Post them on all forms of social medias
- Print an unlimited amount of them in any form (photo, canvas, album, t-shirt, etc.)
- Share them with your family so they can do the same!
⛔️ You cannot:
- Edit or alter the images in any way, including cropping and filters.
- Claim the work as your own.
- Use the images for commercial gain.

I update my website regularly & post my work on social medias. I will love to share your beautiful portraits to promote my work.
If you don’t want me to share some of your images, please let me know.
Please tag my account or my name when you will share your portraits on social medias, it always makes me happy 🥰…. and it helps your friends to know who created these lovely photos of you.
Responsibilities
Better be safe that sorry!
I ensure my clients to back up the files in high resolution during 1 year (except in case of unexpected disaster like fire, flood, damaged computer and / or hard drive).
If you loose your files & want them again, I will ask a 30€ fee to create a new online gallery.
1 year after your session, my digital back-up is not guaranteed anymore & the files can be deleted at any moment. I will send you a note before I delete anything to make sure everything is safe on your side.
I strongly recommend to save these files on 2 external hard drives & on 2 clouds.
